When I was packing to move from the house into my apartment, I forced myself to get rid of a lot of stuff. One thing I couldn't bear to part with were my mugs. I have more mugs than any one person can reasonably own, but I love them. Each mug is special! Each mug has a story! I got my Gemini mug from dELiA*s in the late 90's! My sister gave me my Male Tears mug for Christmas last year because I'm a rampant misandrist! I've had my panda mug since I was in elementary school!
Since I have so many mugs and since they are all so special to me, I decided the best way to store them was to put them on display.
The Mosslanda picture ledge from Ikea (the ledge that is replacing the now discontinued Ribba) was the perfect solution.
Great news: This wall is just regular dry wall. This shelf installation was quick and easy.
